Lotan - Balibo

The final walking day...

The walkers woke up slowly but refreshed after spending the night at a traditional house in Lotan. They started walking around 09.00 AM local time.

The team started heading for the final destination of the Walk against Impunity...

Balibo

Around 14.00 local time, the walkers reached the Flag House in Balibo. This is where Greg Shackleton, Tony Steward, Malcolm Rennie, Gary Cunningham and Brian Peters - remembered as the Balibo Five - stayed in 1975.

Nunura River

In the evening, the walking team headed for the Nunura River for a well-deserved swim and bbq. They spent the night camping there, before returning to Balibo.
