Solidarity and Support

The Walk against Impunity was joined and supported by Timorese activists and many organisations. They organized funding for the Timorese who joined walking, free accomodation for Francis and a press conference, printed their own Walk against Impunity T-shirts, translated our English media-release into Tetum and Bhs. Indonesia and even arranged a following car and medical care to keep an eye on the walkers while en route from Dili to Balibo.

On the first day of the Walk, many sympathizers came to the start and joined walking from Becora to Santa Cruz. Members of Dili Cycling rode with the walkers until Liquica, and six Timorese walkers joined all the way from Dili to Balibo.
